Moonlifted or Caspyr are an uncommon race of ice-white people with mysterious origins, said to have been created by a human mutation induced by extraterrestrial proteins several millennia ago. They are characterized for their ice-white skin and hair, contrasting vibrant cyan eyes, smooth fine features, and greater average height. Moonlifted are native to the Kingdom of Loria, and can be found throughout the world in much lesser numbers.
Tranquil and cunning, Moonlifted are known for their asocial, coy, and scholarly characteristics; they are a species of high intellect with superior cognitive capabilities and unparalleled memory, and a natural affinity for the weaving of psychic magicks. Moonlifted live at least twice as long as humans, showing little signs of aging past young adulthood. Though their intelligence outshines most races their physical capabilities are somewhat limited in comparison, having a weaker immune system and being less prone to developing stronger ligaments. Their physique throughout both sexes is fairly soft, with lithe-leaning body structures.
Psychologically, Moonlifted are considered fairly stable calm and collected people, though their less social demeanor results in slightly diminished empathetic capabilities. Their shut-in nature is likely associated to their weaker physique, although in terms of psychiatric problems antisocial personality disorders are more common among moonlifted than humans. In Lorian society, they are associated with royalty and sanctity given the ruling House Condrey is comprised of Moonlifted, and the race is protagonist to the mythological events of the Seventh Moon religion.
Moonlifted names are recognized by their spelling and vocalization, commonly ending in 'ien', 'ian', and frequenting letters such as 'Y' and 'S'. Most Caspyr inhabit the City of Jade, located in the northeastern Lorian state of Queenstead.
