Brighthold is the northwestern county of the Kingdom of Loria. It has an area of 872,312 square kilometers distributed between snowy northern forests and highlands, green woodlands, and vast plains and rocky mountains. As the second least populated state Brighthold hosts only four settlements including the ancient city of Valicia. The province is also home to Lake Summit, Loria's second largest body of water.
Compared to the Kingdom's eastern regions, Brighthold is much more traditional and old-fashioned; technology is much less widespread and the lifestyle remains largely untouched by industrialization, greatly emphasizing the nation's medieval origins.
The land is teeming with wildlife such as wolves, bears, moose, deer, elk, and even kryssids, among other varied species. Fishing, handicrafts, and hunting, are Brighthold's main forms of currency; the state is far from being an economic power, but its few people live well.
Brighthold is almost entirely covered in snow during winter due to its altitude. It is the highest province in the Kingdom, and therefore the coldest.
