Adamantia is a small city in southeastern Windhill, with a population of 125,967 distributed across 312.4 square kilometres. It is known for having the highest presence of research and manufacturing facilities per sector, thus acting as a major private-funded hub for development in technology. Among Adamantia's world-famous inventions is a synthetic compound known as adamium, an incredibly resistant lightweight and magick-suppressing metal. As a fairly new settlement, Adamantia boasts outstanding city-planning qualities and newer architectural styles, and the vast majority of its inhabitants work in private corporations.
Many of Adamantia's buildings, particularly factories and apartment complexes, are not built with conventional resources such as stone, concrete, or steel, but various synthetic composite materials. The buildings, though experimental, boast exceptional durability and stability in harsh climates, while providing a streamlined and 'futuristic' style in contrast with other cities.
Most residential districts and neighborhoods consist of apartment buildings made and funded by private companies, congregated in perfect grids with wide streets, parking lots and few general establishments. Minimalist gardens and well-kept trees oft adorn the otherwise monotone surroundings.
Although the city is abundant in wide streets suitable for vehicles, Adamantia has a vast network of walkways decorated with well-maintained plants, trees, and minimalist structures. Many small parks can be found throughout the city, alongside a stadium, racing course, and a few plazas and malls. The city's most notorious building is the Adamant Tower, being by far the largest and most advanced. As the result of a joint effort between powerful mages and the wealthiest corporations, the tower is one of the world's tallest buildings measuring 462 meters and drastically looming over the entire settlement. It serves as a host for many different places of interest, from a multi-leveled shopping center at the very base, to enormous magical simulation rooms and the local administration's headquarters.
Adamantia is built around the shores of Lake Agave, a saltwater lake rivaling the size of the settlement itself. Lake Agave was once Adamantia's primary source of income as the once-small city profited from fishing and vacationing. Many old inns in the outskirts still operate, though they do so under the shadow of the great corporations that fueled the city's growth. These vacationing spots, parks and buildings, offer a calm and quiet experience to those who wish not to involve themselves with the highly industrialized affairs of a metropolis in the making.
