A very frightening foe that is formed when the soul of a mage with high magical power and a vengeful heart meets his end in a deep forest. These nasty undead are highly intelligent and are capable of corrupting entire forests into their own hunting grounds, creating Vine Revenant minions to seek out and kill anyone who intrudes upon their forest territories. They prefer to stay out of sight and let their minions do the fighting.
Even if you find the lich do not assume that it is incapable of fighting for itself. The vines that surround its body are very strong and are capable of blocking most attacks. The vines also course with a poison that can kill and corrupt anything that fails to receive an antidote. Due to a lack of medical knowledge of this world, the existence of an antidote is unknown so the fatality rate is very high. As if that wasn’t enough, the flytrap is capable of stealing magic energies from any they catch, empowering them with even more to weave their wicked spell craft.
With these defenses one would think it unbeatable, however there are a few key weaknesses. Firstly, since the body is shrouded in plant life, fire will be very effective in cutting into its vile verdant defense. Also if you have access to holy weapons or magic, that too will also prove fatal to the lich being of undead nature. Further more, it’s magical power is concentrated in the soul cage it holds before it, thus if you break the cage it will lose its magical power,
When the lich dies, the forest it has bonded with seems to die and wither too.
Summon Revenant: With it’s skill of necromancy it can embed plant life around it with the souls it traps in its cage, thus creating more Vine Revenants. The more energy it spends the more Vine Revenants it can make.
Soul Sapper: For every turn it has an opponent in its vines, it can drain 2 Energy from its victim.
Necrotic Poison: The thorns of the vines are highly toxic and it capable of weakening. Strength and defense by one each turn by one as long as that person is affected. Should either stat become 0, the afflicted will die.
