Information

Name:  Erebus

Age:  26?

Species:  Human? Demon? Undead?

Height:  6'3"

Appearance:  Erebus without his apparel or weapons appears to be just your ordinary human with a bit of a roguish style due to his seemingly tired black hues, a pony tail with a bit of dishevel around the front. His pale skin would likely lead you to believe he has little to no contact with sunlight. The only exception would be that portions of his body tend to go missing and replaced with green flames then reappear for others to suddenly disappear, it's not rare for people to see bone around his face or torso, and it certainly isn't something a normal human would have.

Apparel:  Image

His apparel mostly consists of a plague doctor outfit with the key difference being its haunting blue features that entail of the kind of magic that is stored in them around the eyes, beak, vambraces and the pin centered on the chest, a tattered red cloak covers him from the cold, metal-plated boots. Of course, a bag that includes his medical tools, concoctions and a blue lined axe of similar magic.

Hometown:  Valicia

Character Skills

Witch Doctor

Perhaps the most benevolent form of magic that ever came from a witch or warlock. Formed through Erebus's own experience, this magic allows for the curation of different afflictions, but there is always a price that involves otherwordly beings. This skill provides the following features, none of them usable in combat unless stated otherwise.

-Medical Practice: This involves the standard medical practices that most doctors could possibly do. However, this provides Erebus with the knowledge of how the bodies of different living beings function and how he could ensure to properly cure and heal them without causing problems.

-Sporadic Regeneration: Through the use of magic at the cost of 3 ENR, Erebus can heighten celular regeneration, causing wounds to seal up at a faster rate. This involves a certain risk though, and if he does not supervise the regeneration properly the cells could instead produce problems like extra tissue, a limb where there isn't supposed to be one, etc. -Curse/DIsease Extraction: A long involving ritual between 1 to 12 hours long that involves extracting the disease of a subject, and placing it elsewhere. Of course, it does not remove the affliction, and usually there are bound to be side effects on the target.

Blight

A relatively basic attack that costs 1 ENR. Erebus throws a physical concoction and imbues it with putred magic. Enemies that are caught within the area of 5 feet in radius will suffer a poison. At the cost of 4 ENR, this ability's area of effect increases to 10 feet in radius.

Pugnant Bolt

Costs 10 ENR. Harvesting Fulgur's magical electricity, Erebus imbues it with his magic to shoot a lightning bolt that goes in a single line that is 5 feet wide and 100 feet long. It inflicts the stored diseases and curses Erebus has extracted for a duration of three posts, and it also inflicts a heavy amount of electrical damage if it hits any targets in its vicinity. He may only use this once per combat, and if he has no curses or diseases stored then no conditions are inflicted.

Curse Eating

A skill that allows Erebus to regain his energy mid combat. He can either consume the life energy of a living being or if he has stored at least one curse (not a disease) he can consume it to replenish his mana. He regains a minimum of 4 ENR and a maximum of 10 depending on what he consumed as well as level scaling. If Erebus consumes he becomes afflicted temporarily by the conditions of the curse for a maximum of three posts.

Erebus embraces his demonic form, allowing it to possess him. Fulgur turns into a scythe, and Erebus transforms into a demonic being about 10 feet in height. For this he sacrifices a minimum of 8 ENR, and he becomes incapable of using any abilities above this one. Strength, Speed and Defense are then increased by 2, and he becomes capable of flying This ability has a cooldown of a week.

Reap

At the cost of 7 ENR, using the transformed Fulgur, the demonic version of Erebus swings into the ground causing a quake that splits the earth. This immediately transforms Erebus back into his original form. He goes unconscious for at least two posts, and is incapable of using skills higher than 4 ENR for the rest of the day.

Fulgur

An axe with beautiful glowing blue runes that streak across its handle and head. Besides a seemingly endless supply of magical electricity this item functions much like a normal axe does.

Backstory
Born in Valicia between the love affairs of a doctor and a heretical witch, it is no surprise then that the title of 'witch doctor' fell upon such a man. Tampering into the lines of medicine and witchcraft, Erebus became the man he is known as of today due to rather unfortunate circumstances. The witch cult that his mother belonged to was mostly filled with infertile women, therefore it was an obligation that he serve to fill up their numbers. Neither his mother nor his father truly wanted such a future for their little boy, so they opted for escape, his mother left behind in the process. This act of heresy bound him and his father to be pursued out of Valicia and into the wilderness before reaching Adamantia.

Soon he would be raised as a medical assistant to his dad, where he learned the intricacies of the more modern forms of medicine present in the steampunk city. Of course, his father's more antique techniques didn't show much success compared to the efficient forms of practice, so it was fair to say that they both lived under a degree of poverty.

Memories of his mother's disappearance began to flood his memory when he became a teenager. So against his father's wishes, he set himself back to Valicia to find her. On his travels, he found that the witch cult that had pursued him had been hunted down and completely exterminated, leaving little to no information about her whereabouts or if she was still even alive. The worst part was, that though he never had been involved with them, he was hunted down himself.

Through the chase, a portal opened, whether he had opened it himself or some other thing had was unknown. He spent much time there, becoming an adult within his new surroundings of the underworld where demons feasted upon his flesh and soul to no end. It was perhaps through the endless pain, that he discovered his magic, magic which he used to free himself from the plane.

As he came out, Erebus was not the same. His body no longer felt like his own, the prevalent changes of him made him unsure if he was still even human or even alive. He came to realize that he had reached adulthood, but so much time had passed while he was in there that he no longer knew about himself. The magic that he now had, he felt empowered by it. He now felt unsure of what to do at that moment.

Some more years passed, and Erebus settled down in Valicia, finally familiar with the practices of magic. His intended purpose? To find the limits of his own self, find what happened to his mother and father, and perhaps even revenge.
